Baby Clothing Temperature Chart Outside

Disclaimer:
Long-sleeve clothing may feel warm, but for babies under 12 months, direct sun exposure and sunscreen should be avoided. The safest option is thin, breathable long-sleeve garments combined with staying out of direct sunlight. If your baby will be in full shade, lighter clothing is perfectly fine.

Please note: Every baby is different and reacts differently to heat and cold. There is no one-size-fits-all clothing suggestion. These are general recommendations only and do not replace parental judgment or professional medical advice. Always supervise your baby and adjust clothing based on their individual needs.

Safety Check – The “Neck Test”:
  • Place two fingers inside the neckline at your baby’s neck
  • Comfortable: Neck feels warm and dry
  • Too warm: Neck feels hot and sweaty → remove a layer
  • Too cold: Neck feels cold → add a layer
  • Note: Cold hands and feet are normal and not a reliable indicator
